Materials
Every ArganWithSmile tool is made from a single natural stone or natural material. This page describes each material factually — what it is, how it is formed, and what its physical properties are. No added claims.
A dense, hard natural stone from the He Tian region of China. Fine-grained crystalline structure with a smooth, non-porous surface when polished. Denser and heavier than Xiuyan jade — less prone to chipping under normal use. Deep forest-green to near-black tone with natural internal veining. Each piece varies in colour and pattern.
A naturally occurring stone from the Xiuyan region of Liaoning Province, China. Smooth surface when polished with a naturally cool feel to the touch. Colour varies between pieces — light translucent green to deeper forest green, often with natural clouding, veining, or patterning. Each piece is hand-carved and unique.
A naturally pink variety of crystalline quartz. The pink colouring is caused by trace amounts of titanium, iron, or manganese within the stone's structure. Dense, hard crystalline structure with a smooth surface when polished. Colour ranges from pale translucent blush to deeper pink — varies between individual pieces.
A naturally occurring variety of nephrite jade with a warm amber to golden-yellow tone. The colour comes from iron oxide in the stone's mineral composition. Dense, fine-grained structure with a smooth, non-porous surface when polished. Colour depth varies between pieces — pale straw to deeper amber.
An opaque, fine-grained variety of chalcedony — a microcrystalline form of quartz. The deep red colouring is caused by iron oxide (haematite) inclusions. Dense, hard stone with a smooth, non-porous surface when polished. Each piece has its own distinct veining, banding, and colour variation — brick red to deep burgundy.
Ceramic clay formed by hand and finished with a glaze. Heat-safe and durable under normal use. Because each piece is hand-formed, no two are identical — variations in shape, glaze thickness, colour depth, and surface texture are normal characteristics of handmade ceramics, not defects. The glaze provides a smooth, sealed surface that is easy to wipe clean.
