The Gua Sha Tool

The gua sha is a flat, contoured stone tool used for facial massage. Held at a low angle against the skin, it is drawn outward in long, light strokes across the face and neck. The curved edges are shaped to follow the natural contours of the face — the jawline, cheekbones, forehead, and neck.

The Ridged Roller

The ridged roller features a textured roller head that creates a more defined rolling sensation compared to a smooth stone roller. Apply light pressure and roll outward from the centre of the face in upward strokes. The ridged surface creates a distinct, segmented contact pattern across the skin.

How To Use Together

These two tools can be incorporated into the same routine or used at different times of day.

Gua Sha — recommended technique: Apply facial oil or serum to clean skin. Hold the gua sha tool at approximately 15 degrees against the skin. Always pull, never push. Work outward from the centre of the face using light strokes, starting at the neck and moving upward. Repeat each stroke 3–5 times per area.

Ridged Roller — recommended technique: Apply facial oil or serum to clean skin. Starting from the centre of the face, roll outward using light upward strokes. Work across the forehead, cheeks, jawline, and neck. A full session typically takes 5–10 minutes.

For a cooler sensation with either tool, store in the refrigerator for 10–15 minutes before use.

How They Work Together

Step 1 — Intro Gua Sha Tool

Start with the flat gua sha tool. Work across the larger surface areas — neck, cheeks, and forehead — using long outward strokes. Hold the tool nearly flat against the skin and always pull, never push.

Step 2 — Sculpting Spoon

Follow with the sculpting spoon. Use the pen tip for the eye area, nose bridge, and jawline. Use the spoon bowl for the cheekbones and forehead. Apply light, controlled pressure in short strokes.

Apply facial oil or serum to clean skin before using either tool. The stone glides best on a well-lubricated surface.
